1. General Provisions
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern the use of the Lord of the Steps mobile application ("App"). By using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please stop using the App. Developer: Ainur Khakimov. Contact email: ainr.khakimov@gmail.com
2. Service Description
The App is a fantasy pedometer that turns everyday walking into a virtual journey along a ~2,865 km route. The App counts steps via Samsung Health, Huawei Health or Health Connect (Android), via HealthKit (iOS), or from the device's built-in step sensor, displays progress along the route, and allows users to create groups and participate in challenges.
3. Registration and Account
To use the App, you must register via Google, Apple or a code sent to your email. You are responsible for maintaining access to your account. Each user may have only one account. You can delete your account at any time through the App settings. Upon deletion, all data is permanently removed.
4. Rules of Use
When using the App, you must not: • Intentionally falsify step data (cheating) • Use automated tools to inflate step counts • Put insults, threats, hatred towards a group of people, sexual content, advertising and spam, or other people's contact details into your username or into the names and descriptions of groups and challenges • Impersonate another person, company or brand • Violate the rights of other users • Attempt unauthorized access to the service We have zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive behaviour. Breaking these rules leads to the content being removed and the account being restricted: first for 7 days, then for 30 days, and with no end date for repeated violations. A restricted account cannot create or edit groups and challenges, change its name or join groups; steps, the route and the subscription keep working.
5. Groups and Challenges
Users can create groups and invite members by code. The group creator is its owner and can appoint administrators. A group can be made public. Any user can find a public group in the App: its name, description, icon and member count are visible to everyone. Joining a public group is either immediate or by request, as the owner chooses; requests are reviewed by the owner and the administrators. A member who joins sees the group's member list, their names and steps — as in any group. The owner can make the group private again at any time. Every new or changed text of a group or a challenge — its name and description — is checked automatically before members and other users see it. A text that fails the check is not published, and its author is told what to change. From the group screen you can report a group, a challenge or a member's name. Reports are reviewed within 24 hours. The developer may remove an offending text, make the group private and restrict the author's account. The author is told what was removed and may contest the decision by writing to ainr.khakimov@gmail.com. The owner and administrators of a group can remove a member with a block: a blocked user cannot join the group again until the block is lifted.
6. Health and Liability
The App is NOT a medical device and does not provide medical advice. Step data is for informational purposes only and may be inaccurate. Do not make health decisions based on App data. Consult a physician before starting any physical activity program. The developer is not liable for any health-related damages.
7. Intellectual Property
The name "Lord of the Steps" is an original wordplay and is not a trademark of the Tolkien Estate or Warner Bros. All App materials (design, text, images, code) belong to the developer unless otherwise stated. Use of App materials without the developer's consent is prohibited.
8. Limitation of Liability
The App is provided "as is". The developer does not guarantee uninterrupted service. The developer is not liable for: • Loss of step data • Service interruptions • Actions of third parties • Inaccuracy of step counts • Damages related to the use of the App
9. Subscriptions and Payments
The App offers free and paid plans. Pricing and terms for paid plans are listed in the App and on the website. Payments are processed via YooKassa or in-app purchases through App Store / Google Play. Refund terms are determined by the respective payment platform. The developer may change prices and plan terms with prior notice to users.
10. Changes to Terms
The developer may modify these Terms. Users will be notified of significant changes through the App. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms. The current version is always available at: lord-of-the-steps.ru/terms
